Dr. Akinosun is a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon and a proud Naperville native. Known for her caring nature, meticulous eye, and perfectionist standards, she approaches each patient with warmth and desire to understand their goals.

She completed her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by a five-year Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Kansas where she was recognized for her surgical techniques and bedside manner. She went on to pursue an elite Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) in New York. She trained under renowned facial plastic surgeons Dr. Edwin Williams and Dr. Keimun Slaughter.

Her years as an NCAA Division I Track & Field athlete at the University of Illinois instilled the discipline, resilience, and focus that now define her work in the operating room. Patients know her for her calm presence, attentive listening, and the confidence she inspires—both through her results and interpersonal approach

Outside of surgery, she is a wife and proud mother who cherishes time with her family. Dr. Akinosun is an active member of the AAFPRS and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
